Our system tracks the performance of the servers in each cluster in real-time, sending new traffic requests to the server that is currently handling the least number of requests, and also responding the fastest to new requests. If one of the servers in a cluster is too slow, or not responding at all, requests are sent on to other servers in the cluster, making sure requests are handled quickly and correctly, without any break in service.

Website is hosted on a load balanced cluster with services spread-over two server appliances. Therein each service (http, mySQL, POP and SMTP) has multiple points of hardware & software failure. Network load is distributed across two servers, one web-server and one database server. Each server stores a real-time copy of all web site data.
 

Server system runs a fail-over application that checks the servers every 5 seconds. If a server or service is not responding, our application will automatically switch over requests of all services to the available server. Thereby minimizing down-time and maintaining data integrity. Once the 'not responding' server is restored, services are switched back to the load-balanced configuration. Thus, your website remains insulated from single point of failure.
