Last, but not least comes the SEO tab. That allows you to enable the so-called Search Engine Friendly URLs: these change the addresses of your pages to static ones, rather than the dynamic, session-based ones and thus search engines are able to index your website. Turning these on will remind you to change the name of the additional .htaccess file so that the rewrite rules are enabled.
Finally, before hitting the Save icon, please make your configuration file unwritable by clicking the respective checkbox above the SEO tab. If the file is already unwritable, please check the Override write protection while saving box. These will make sure that the configuration changes are saved properly.
